Enjoy hands-on work and having your afternoons and weekends back?
Join Tasty Fresh Food Co.’s Cardiff team, helping prepare and pack fresh food for our lunch vans. You’ll work mainly in food production, with opportunities to assist in the warehouse and bakery as needed.
Food production experience is helpful, but we’ll provide full training if you’re reliable, willing to learn and ready to get involved.
Hours and benefits
- Monday–Friday – weekends free!
- 24–38 hours per week across 3–5 shifts, depending on staffing requirements
- Shifts rostered between 3am and 2pm, with varying start and finish times
- Full training and support from the team
Availability for early starts and varying shift times is essential.
What you’ll do
- Prepare, portion, assemble, label and pack food products
- Follow recipes and work instructions
- Keep food preparation areas clean and follow food safety procedures
- Help with picking orders, stock handling and bakery duties when needed
About you
You’re dependable, enjoy practical work and take pride in getting the details right. You can follow instructions, work with others and get on with tasks independently.
You’ll also need:
- Reliable attendance and punctuality — your team counts on you
- Ability to safely lift up to 15kg and perform repetitive, active duties
- Willingness to work in cold storage areas at 3–9°C when required
- A driver licence and reliable transport for early starts
Food production, bakery, pick-packing or warehouse experience is welcome, but not essential.
Please note: The role involves handling meat, dairy, nuts and gluten-containing products, strong food smells and working around conveyor belts.

This active role combines customer service, sales and substantial daily driving, with full-time hours across five weekdays.

Your day

Enjoy a regular weekday routine, familiar customers and a role that keeps you moving.
Based at our Tullamarine depot, you’ll drive an automatic lunch van on your own regular route, selling fresh food and drinks to customers at workplaces across the area.

Your day on the road
Start at the depot, load your van with fresh food and drinks, then head out to your regular workplace stops.
You’ll serve customers, recommend products, promote specials and process payments while keeping your stock organised and your run on schedule. Friendly, efficient service and building relationships are a big part of the role.
Driving makes up a substantial part of every shift, with frequent stops, reversing and parking at warehouses, factories, work sites and offices. You’ll be getting in and out of the van and serving customers in different weather conditions.
After your final stop, return to Tullamarine to unload, complete stock counts and cash up before finishing for the day.
What you’ll need
- A current full Victorian driver licence – no P plates
- Safe, confident driving skills and comfort driving an automatic van
- Friendly, efficient face-to-face customer service
- Reliable attendance and availability Monday–Friday from around 6am
- Confidence working independently, handling payments and managing stock
- Motivation to sell, learn your route and build your earnings
New to lunch van sales? We’ll train you. Experience in retail, hospitality, cafés or another busy customer service role is a great starting point.

Join Tasty Fresh Food Co.’s afternoon Operations team in Ferntree Gully. Enjoy variety across fresh food preparation and warehouse duties, helping get our lunch vans stocked and ready for the next day.
From sandwiches, salads, burritos and sushi, pies and pastries, you’ll help prepare food that keeps our customers going!
Hours and availability
- Fridays and Saturdays free!
- Sunday shifts rostered between 1pm–7pm
- Monday–Thursday shifts rostered between 1:30pm–7:30pm
- 20–25 hours per week across 3–5 shifts
- Shifts generally 3–6 hours
Commitment and reliability are essential. We need people we can count on to attend their rostered shifts, arrive on time and contribute throughout the shift.
What you’ll do
- Prepare, portion, label and pack fresh food and bakery products
- Follow recipes, picking sheets and work instructions
- Maintain food safety, hygiene and quality standards
- Pick and dispatch orders accurately, and receive and store stock
- Complete general cleaning and basic computer tasks as required
You may work across Bakery, Production and Warehouse, depending on what’s needed each shift.
About you
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

Your day
